Default Light of Dwayna

Cause I started a monk now browsing what good spells will I have later. I found a spell called light of dwayna which can resurrect all nearby ally. So answer this please: where can I find this skill? At which trainer/monster?

look there it has the skill trainer listed

BTW IMO this isn't the greatest skill for a monk because of the 25 energy required (a very hefty amount out of your 40-50 energy pool). It's better for an E/Mo because the energy requirment is easier to do.

So you suggest to stay with resurrect? Quite acceptable cast cost, +8 sec. I can revive em 1 by 1

depends for PvE bring rebirth as it can get you out of sticky situations. For tombs and GvG it really depends on your build and how the whole team is set up

I use Light of Dwayna in PvP Tombs. Mostly because we usually do a healing ball and most of the time people die nearby. Looking at it as a factor of res per energy, it's more efficient (and time-efficient) when you can res 3+ people in one go all for 25 energy rather than 10 energy each, and double the time as LOD. (LOD takes 4 seconds, Resurrect and Restore Life take 8. Rebirth takes 6.)

My PvP monk is a divine protector, meaning she heals with divine favour (more useful alone than healing prayers is alone at this level), and protects.
Her favourite combo:
Light of Dwayna - resurrect all nearby dead allies.
Divine Healing - heal yourself and nearby party members for 10-210 points.

Note, 210 is only level 12. With a superior divine favour rune and a prophet's scalp design you can get 16. My monk has 14, but I will remake her when I do get a sup protection or divine favour rune. I also need a superior vigor... but I'm not paying 50k to some NPC for it. I'm saving up my faction.

I use it to but it depends, like I said, on build and teammates. I have used it to res all 7 of my teammates on the dais before. And rebirth takes way more than 6 energy. It takes 6 + all your other energy

Oh, Just so you guys know, some of the energy requirements are wrong on the skills page, Rebirth should be 6, Ressurect/Restore Life should be 8 and so on. Im sure there are more, but those are the only ones i've found.

I've found it to be a bit tempramental in what it considers the radius of 'nearby'. Sometimes I've been what i considered nearby, going on the definition of nearby in other skills like Putrid Explosion, however LOD's version of nearby seems to by next to / adjacent distances.

as I know the largest is: Area, then followed by nearby and the lowest it Adjustent. I think there was a chart somewhere in the fansites but can't remember. Some spells with "cricle" visuals can be seen easily but others - hell if you see it's comming :P

Yeah, i tested this skill today, and you pretty much have to be standing on top of somebody for it to work. If I was just a few steps away it wouldn't rez anybody. Also, i've only been able to get it to rez one person at a time...very broken, useless skill with enormous energy cost. leave this one in the pool.

If you call this as a desired to have (must have all skills or my monk won't feel complete), get it in Ember Light Camp and buy it.

I find this spell to be the complete opposite of your group. If your group is good, bring something else. If your group is horrible, bring it. I love to see my group aggro 20 fire imps and die in the same spot. I will drink some rice wine for courage and march in and kill the imps (by then there are less than 20). Then cast Light of Dwayna and rez everyone at the same time.

Thankfully I only did it once. I've even used Restoration from my Ritualist (does the same thing, but a spirit comes out and must die before all those around it get resurrected). I've done that only once too.

Its uses are very conditional, not worth it if you have confidence in your group. Those two times, I didn't.
